(When I got married, they told me that my middle name became part of my first name, and the initial of my maiden name became my middle name. The man at the counter REFUSED to record it any other way! Guam is a weird place to get married).
2. What do people call you? “Amy”, “Mrs. McCormick”, and sometimes I still hear, “Miss Crane—I mean Mrs. McCormick”.
3. What do you wish people would call you? Socrates
4. Would you rather date Betty or Veronica/ Archie or Reggie? Archie, because Reggie is a conceited troublemaker.
5. What time period do you wish you could have lived? During the creation of earth, from “In the beginning” until Genesis 3. (It was all down hill after that).
6. What would the title of your autobiography be? “The Way of the Wave Riding Warrior” OR “Brown Cracker Like Me”
7. Who was your first boyfriend/ girlfriend? Ian Castle, 4th grade.
8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? On a 40’ catamaran with Bob, sailing all over the world

13. What is your worst character flaw? I’d rather avoid drama than express my true feelings (even if my feelings get hurt).
14. What kind of car do you drive? What kind of car do you want to drive? I drive a Chevy S10 4wd pickup. My dream car is a camper.
15. If you had to be stuck in an elevator (or the tactile dome) who would you want to be stuck with? Bob. He’s also the one I’d want to be stuck in a house with during a typhoon (speaking from experience!).
16. What is your favorite cheesiest pick up line? A male friend-- who was trying to hint more than friendship-- told me that he heard of a really good cure for chaf-chaf (a tropical skin rash that people get as their skin acclimates to humid climate). The “cure” was, of course, kissing. I don’t have chaf-chaf any more, but I am still kissing the guy who said that very CHEESY line— BOB!
17. What is your favorite letter of the alphabet and why? “Q”. It sounds so… mysterious.
18. If you were a contestant on Survivor, what would your luxury item be? I’ve never watched Survivor (no t.v.), but I’m guessing that a luxury item is something you can bring with you on the island. I would bring a BIG Swiss Army knife.
19. What do you never leave home without? When I thought about this, I realized that sometimes I DO leave home without keys, or underwear, or shoes. But I am always wearing some sort of clothing item, even if it’s just a swim suit.
20. What was your favorite childhood toy? A tree
21. If you could be anything in the world, what would you be? A Tibetan monk
22. If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be? I would be an extreme martial arts acrobat. I wouldn't beat up people, but I'd run up walls and do double flips off ceilings-- even if I was a Tibetan monk.
23. What is your biggest talent? Hmmmm… probably water sports
24. Which muppet character best describes you- and why? Gonzo, because: He is in love with Henrietta Chicken, I am in love with Bob. Gonzo likes daring challenges (like getting shot out of a cannon), I enjoy adventurous sports. Gonzo isn’t the star of the show, and neither am I-- which is okay with me.
25. What is your biggest fear? To be a burden on others.

30. Who or what best renews your spirit? Reading a good book, trekking through the jungle, sitting on the bow of the boat amidst a pod of dolphins. Walking in the rain, kayaking during a full moon at midnight, and surfing a wave alongside my husband. Being with nice people. Experiencing other cultures. Hearing success stories. Also, seeing the look on my students’ faces when they become excited about learning.

12. What is something that people would be surprised to know about you? I am convinced that I am really a man in a woman's body. I have never had
menstrual cramps, I hate shopping, I forbid soap operas to be watched in my house, I don't read romance novels, and I only own 4 pairs of shoes. The last time I wore make-up was on April 7, 2001. I admit that women ARE the weaker sex. But if I were a man, I would be gay, because I don't relate well with other women.

21. The Disney Character that best describes you? Amy says Mulan, but I say Ariel from the little Mermaid. My reasoning? Ariel is always off on another exploratory adventure. She is incurably curious about the world around her, she is a very fast swimmer, and married a prince who enjoys sailing.
