Happy 3rd Anniversary

Toby and Michelle!

For our third anniversary, Toby and I went to a victorian Bed and Breakfast in Newport Beach. The inn was originally built in 1923 by Jim and Robert McFadden, the founders of Newport Beach. Originally, it was used as a bunkhouse for the dory fisherman, and then later it was a "madame house" and speak easy. Though rebuilt and modernized, some say it is haunted by the patrons of its past. Below are some pictures of our room.

This is the door leading from our room to the lobby. Just to the right is an antique armoire. When you enter the room through this door, the bathroom is immediately on the right, and a hallway straight ahead. the hallway bends around a corner to the bedroom.

Here you can see the step at the end of the hallway, as it bends into the room. As you enter the room the dresser would be on your right, and the tv on your left.

This is actually the view as you come around the little bend. You can see the edge of the dresser on the right, the tv on the left, and straight ahead is a little table.

This is closer to the little table, and on the right you can see the bed.

This is the bed. It was really quite cozy!

This is the fireplace that was directly accross from the bed.

This is a nice picture of the dresser.

This is the bathroom.

This tub was great! It was so deep that when you were sitting down, the water came all the way up to your shoulders!

This was the view from the back windows. Because the room was on a corner, there were LOTS of windows!

This is Toby laughing. Because this is a bed and BREAKFAST, you have the option of having breakfast in the dining room, on the patio, or in your room. Toby and I chose to eat in our room!

This is a nice picture of Toby sitting accross from me.
