Michelle and Cindy in...

Philadelphia, PA

A statue of GeorgeWashington in front of Independence Hall

Cindy standing in front of the very first Supreme Court Room-
Behind her you can see the Pennsylvania Coat of Arms, which were put up
after King George's Coat of Arms were torn down at the announcement of the
Declaration of Independence.

Dawn, Me, Cindy, and Grace in front of the room where the Constitutional Congress first penned the
Declaration of Independence, and later the Constitution.

It was in this room that our forefathers researched every known form of government, and borrowed ideas from them,
to create what they believed to be the best government. 200 years later, despite its flaws, it is still believed to be the best.

Cindy took this picture of me at the statue if George Washington. And Guess what I saw when I looked down...

THIS!

I was standing where Abraham Lincoln stood!!

Cindy standing in front of the Liberty Bell. You can see Independence Hall in the background.

The Liberty Bell.

We all took a horse drawn carriage tour of Philadelphia. It was so much fun!

The Philadelphia Bourse was the first merchant trading building in the US.

Inside it is now office buildings, tourist shops, and a food court.
We had chinese food there for lunch.

Grace and Cindy enjoying the carriage ride.

I was trying to get a picture of thebuilding on the right-
The first library in the US, but the carriage went too fast...

If you took away the statue, this would be the picture that is on the back of our money.

This is Cindy and Grace petting Vernon the horse. Brian was our tour guide.

Here we are entering Lancaster, PA- Home of the Amish.

OH NO!!! WHile I was away it appears that Ontario has become its own state!!
Oh- That's Ontario, CANADA.

Dawn lives right by Valley Forge, so we drove through it one day.
These are the little huts that the soldiers stayed in during the battle at Valley Forge.

Here is another Hut.

And this big white house is where General George Washington stayed during the battle at valley Forge...

You can not tell in this picture, but it was snowing here.
This was a snow Squall.

Cindy is trying to catch a snowflake in her mouth.

But it lands in her eye.

Now the snow picks up some.

Cindy is overwhelmed by all the snow.

Cindy and Grace are trying to catch snowflakes in their mouths-
This time they are much more successful.

I will add the pictures from the first 2 days of our trip later. They are another memory stick...
